Sunday February 14 2016 "Does God test us?"

It was so good to see Kelly again as she is now staying at the Willow Bend nursing home in Mesquite. She had been taken by her former health aid and she was not allowed to contact anyone.  The police found her and took her to Willow Bend. It was a scary situation but she is safe now. Also last week Richard was able to make it as well.  Barbara was visiting and we celebrated her Birthday along with Tim.  We honored Mary as our member of the month for February and she was very gracious to share her story with us. It was a great day at BBT.

This week we will be celebrating Valentine’s day on Sunday.  I hope all you men out there have taken care of your ladies for this special day, if not come and pray for forgiveness or beg for mercy!  I want to continue to talk about trusting God.  I want us to look at the story of Jesus being led into the wilderness and talk a little about our temptations.  I believe we would all love it if God just took all our temptations and trials away so we did not have to go through them, but God has a purpose for allowing us to be tested.  He is not hoping we will fail but he is believing we will overcome anything Satan puts in front of us and we will be stronger because of it.  It is important that we trust God and believe it when he says he will never leave us or forsake us, or when he says how much he cares for us.  God does not want us to struggle, he wants us to have abundant life but if Jesus can be tempted then you better know you can be as well.  Read the story in Luke 4:1-13. Also in Hebrews 2:18 it explains why Jesus went through this time of temptation.  I hope you will join us Sunday as we look for the truths that God has for us through his word.

This week Cindy Accidentale Plante had to have her appendicitis removed but she is doing well and back home as of Monday night.  Please continue to remember her in your prayers as she is about to start a new job as well.  Please pray for those mentioned in our prayer request last week and continue to trust God in all areas of your life, you we be blessed.   Do something good for somebody this week and I will see you on Sunday!

We love you so Much,

Pastor David & Pris
