Greetings followers of BBT, I hope you are having a blessed week. Last Sunday we were not able to attend as our daughter Lindsey was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning. She is home now and recovering. Thanks to Larry and Linda for leading in Sunday school and the worship service. Also last week Tim was hospitalized with shingles he also is home and recovering but we had no one to drive the bus last week so those who usually are picked up in the bus were not able to attend. I am truly sorry you had to miss but we will be back this Sunday.
We also learned last week that Galen Rich passed away on Thursday. We are so sad that we lost a good friend and faithful member of BBT. As I was thinking about Mr. Rich I thought about how death is something we cannot escape and I wanted to bring a message about preparing for death. I know this is not a popular topic and not something we may not like to think about but it is important that we understand we as Christians do not need to fear death. The scripture vs this week are in Hebrews 9:27-28. The writer of Hebrews points out in this scripture that we have an appointment with death and after death judgement but scriptures also tells us that those of us who have accepted Christ are spared from judgment. It is important that we understand as Christians that the moment we take our last breath here we draw our first breath in Heaven. That is why when we lose a love one like Mr. Rich we can rejoice even in our grief because of what Jesus did for us. It is hard to say goodbye but we rejoice that we will see our love ones again. I hope you will join us on Sunday as we remember Mr. Rich
Please continue to remember us in your prayers as this ministry reaches out to those who are ignored or overlook. My prayer for you this week is you will humble yourself before God and ask him to use you as his servant to those who need a touch from God. Be blessed and do good things for people and we will see you on Sunday!!
We love you so much,
Pastor David & Pris
