It was so nice to be back to church after last week’s power failure. We had 2 visitors with us and I want to thank Kelly & Anita for inviting these guest. Priscilla led us in Sunday school as she shared with us how important it is to be back on track worshipping God. God showed her we will need to have respect, forgive others as well as ourselves and be faithful in what God calls us to do. Kim shared how God gave her a word on we should not just pray for what God can do for us but what can we do for God today. I was very proud of both of them as they really do understand listing to God. I brought a message from John 10 about how well God knows us. He knows his own and they know him. He wants us to know that we are not just a number to him but he loves us, knows us, and will never leave us. God is bigger than our situation! I really enjoyed seeing everyone again and can’t wait to see you this Sunday.
This Sunday is Mother’s day, it is right along with Easter and Christmas when it comes to being in church. Everyone wants to please Mom. I am going to share about the love we should have for one another and how most Mothers are the example of that Love. The scripture verses this week are in the Gospel of John chapter 13 vs 31-35. Larry preached on this not too long ago about how Jesus was giving a NEW commandment to his disciples. The kind of love Jesus expects from us is this disciple kind of love. The kind of love Jesus has for us. I hope you will be with us this Sunday as we honor our Mothers and worship God.
Ruth’s sister Mary Ellen is still in the hospital here in Baylor. Please continue to lift her up in your prayers. Shelly is now in Baylor Scott & White (formerly Doctors Hospital) as her hand has becoming infected and a hand surgeon is going to evaluate it this week, please continue to pray for her. Please pray for all the prayer request mentioned last week and I hope you are having a blessed week. Remember to pray for this ministry and let’s get excited about what God is doing. Do something good for somebody this week and be blessed for doing it. We will see you on Sunday!
We love you so much
Pastor David & Pris
