Last week the weather was pretty bad and many were not able to attend, but for those that did brave the storm ,I hoped they were blessed, I know I was.
Hopefully this Sunday we will have better weather. I want to talk to you this week, leading up to Easter, about Jesus prayer at Gethsemane. Our scripture verse for this week will be Luke 22 39-46. As Jesus is praying he is demonstrating the way we should be praying. Our prayers are the most powerful tool we have yet many don’t know how to pray or don’t feel like their prayers do any good. There are many people who have lost their faith in God because they felt like God does not answer their prayers. As Jesus was about to sacrifice his life on a cross he reached out to God and it appears God did not answer his prayer. The truth is God did answer his prayer because Jesus asked God to let his will be done. God knew without the sacrifice of Jesus we would not be forgiven. God answered his prayer for our benefit. God always wants the best for us and we need to understand that. The things we want are not always to our benefit. God only wants the best for us. We will look at this prayer and see what Jesus wanted us to understand about how to pray. I hope you will be with us this week as we prepare for Easter. Invite someone to come with you and Let’s have a great time worshiping together.
Remember to pray for those mentioned in our prayer request this week and I hope you have a blessed week. I believe God will do something special for you this week. Just be ready to receive a blessing. I will see you on Sunday and as always do something good for somebody this week and be blessed!!
We love you so much,
Pastor David & Pris
