It was a good day to be in the house of the Lord last week at BBT. Linda brought a Sunday school lesson about how we need to avoid fire here on earth and the fire of Hell as well. Larry brought a sermon about David and what it meant to be a Shepard. If you were not there last week you can hear both these great lessons on our Podcast on our website.
This week I want to talk about a story that is found in all four of the gospels. I am going to be in Matthew the 14Th chapter vs 13-21. This is the amazing story of Jesus feeding over 5000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. To get the real meaning of this lesson you have to look beyond the physical need to be fed and see what the real lesson is for us. The disciples wanted to send the people away because they were tired and hungry themselves and they could not see any way to feed these people. How often do we just want to give up because we are tired or frustrated with people and we just don’t see a way to help them? There is a lesson to be learned here. Bring all you have and Jesus will make it more than enough! I hope you will be with us on Sunday as we fellowship together once again.
If you were with us last week you probably know that Ruth passed out last Sunday after the service. She ended up going to the hospital that night and she was treated for dehydration. She got to come home on Tuesday and she is better but she needs our prayers. Kim went to the doctor on Tuesday and think God they removed her cast and she can begin walking on a walker this week. She cannot put all her weight on it yet but it is a start. Don Potts got a report back that only 20% of his kidney is functioning so he may be added to a donor’s list but they are not talking about dialysis yet. Both Don and Brenda need our prayers as they make some hard decisions in the near future. Please pray for all the prayer request mention last week and especially Ruth and Don this week. If you have a pray request or just need someone to talk to please call us and we will be glad to share with you whatever we can. Have a blessed week and remember to do something good for somebody this week and be blessed. See you on Sunday!!
We love you so much,
Pastor David & Pris
