Last week at BBT was different. The heat was out in the auditorium so we just had church in the fellowship hall. Some told me they really enjoyed meeting there but I missed having the comfort of our sanctuary, though it was nice and warm in the fellowship hall. The heat will be fixed this week and we will be back in the auditorium this week. Last Sunday Pris led us in Sunday School on God’s love and how we should love others. I spoke on how no matter the situation we still have our hope and faith in Christ. We honored Kimberly Whitmore as our member of the month for December.
This week will be a special week. Heights Church will celebrate Christmas with us this Sunday and the Christmas party will follow our service with food, gifts, baskets and lots of fellowship. Our service will start at 2:30 as always but we will not have Sunday school this week. Ruth will read the Christmas story out of Luke the 2ND Chapter verses 1-14 and we will sing several Christmas carols. I will bring a short message and then we will adjourn to the fellowship hall for our Christmas party. I hope you will be able to join us Sunday as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
Please remember those mentioned in our prayer request last week and remember what we as a country went through on December 7, 1941. As FDR said it was a “day that will live in infamy”. We lost so many lives at Pearl Harbor and it was the beginning of World War II. Lets not forget our past but let us look to the future, let’s look for a chance to help someone this Christmas season. I am very proud of the members at BBT and you will always be part of my family. You mean so much to Pris and myself and you mean SO much to Christ Jesus, I hope he means SO much to you as well. Have a great week and we will see you on Sunday!!!!
We Love you so much,
Pastor David & Pris
