We celebrated Father’s day last week at BBT. We had a good group and Larry and Linda had the service. Linda is continuing to do a study on how we can help people the correct way. We have a church filled with people who have needs but we have to find a way to help each other. We need to make people feel better about them selves. That is what this study is all about. Larry brought his message about how lucky we are to be able to call the creator of the universe our father! We may not have been fortunate enough to grow up with a loving & caring father but if we are a child of the King we have a heavenly Father that loves us unconditionally. A Father that will correct us, not to punish us, but to make us better. A Father that will not just tell us what to do but will lead us there and then empower us to accomplish what He has for us. I hope you were in the service and I hope you got as much of these lessons as I did.
This week we are going to have a memorial service for Francis. She passed away last week and her funeral service was last Saturday at Restland. Many of you were not able to attend the service so we will have the memorial service at our church this Sunday. Francis meant so much to us at this church and we will miss here deeply but Francis is home. The home God built especially for her. She will no longer face the pain and suffering this world causes. She is at her final home. I hope we will have several members of Francis family with us this week as we look back and celebrate her life. Larry will bring the eulogy and we will sing several of Francis favorite songs. There will also be several photos of Francis you may have never seen. I hope you will plan on joining us as we celebrate and remember Francis. We will start at our regular time of 2:30 and there will be time for you to share some of your favorite stories about Francis.
I hope you are having a great week and I hope you are spending time every day praying and reading your Bible. It is very important that we spend time with our Father in heaven. I know you are busy but there is nothing more important then listing and serving the Lord. Keep praying for prayer request mentioned in the service last week and look for a reason to go out of your way to be a blessing to someone. That is the example Francis set for us as she always wanted to be a blessing. Lets follow that example. We will see you on Sunday!!!
We love you so much,
Pastor David & Pris
