Guest Speaker this Sunday, September 20
What a great day we had last Sunday for our homecoming celebration! The weather was perfect. The lawn was green, the message was great, and our special music was extra special! The recording doesn’t do justice to it, but you can hear the entire service here. Jerry Gibson brought in a couple of friends and they took it to the next level.
This Sunday we have another treat for you. Linda and I met Michael Justice at a meeting of the Dallas Christian Fellowship of the blind, which meets every fourth Saturday in our building. He has a Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, which he obtained while blind. Since I’m pretty close to blind myself and know that people do what they have to do, I’m usually not that impressed when someone simply lives life as we all should, doing what is necessary. But I’m impressed by anyone who can get through Greek and Hebrew through the additional challenges that blindness poses. I haven’t and I’m not sure I could.
Now that I’ve sufficiently embarrassed him, I hope you’ll all come and hear him speak. You will be blessed. Join us!
Do keep our people in your prayers. Pastor is recovering well but he wasn’t able to be with us. We definitely missed him. Only he can give that Victory March speech the way it should be given. We look forward to getting him back.
Be blessed to be a blessing!
