Message for May 22 – Still Going
Don’t pack your bags just yet. If He comes you won’t need them where we’re going anyway. In truth we should be living every day like He’s coming any minute. As Christians we have the hope of His return, but there are people all around us who do not. Make good use of the fact that everyone’s talking about this right now to share the Good News that no one needs to fear the end of the world, so long as he has a relationship with the creator of this world.
Unless He gives me a big surprise today, that’s what I’ll be talking to you about tomorrow. This is the message I was planning to share on the day that services were canceled. It was meant to be an introduction to our evangelism focus this month and an explanation of why it is so important, but it will serve just as well as a wrap up to which you can apply all that we have already learned. Now you have some tools to go out and accomplish the mission that Jesus gave us. We’re thankful to my brother Joe and Drew Dickens of Need Him for sharing them with us over the past couple of weeks.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matt 28:19-20)
We’ll talk about what He told us to do, why it is so important, and what happens when we do it. Get your shoes on, because we’re going to go!
