Message by Larry Thacker Jr. from March 26, “Is There Such a Thing as Sin?”
The wword “sin” is disappearing from our culture. As we drift further away from our Christian roots, terminology that many of us grew up with is unknown to many in the younger generations. We didn’t all believe them, but we had some idea of waht the words meant.
But just a few minutes on social media should convince you that we still very much believe in sin, and we are adept at spotting it in other people. We may not use the word and we may not believe there is a universal standard to define it, but we don’t hesitate to call it out.
The modern day evangelist must begin by establishing that sin is a thing and that we’re all guilty of it. Otherwise, the rest of the Gospel message has no meaning.
So, let’s review the concept. We explore the definition, root causes, and remedies for sin. We know that Jesus is the only true answer to our sin.
