Well here we are in a new year.  It almost seems uneventful.  I know we have been counting the days to the new year but now that it is here we just seems like we are just going about business as usual.  I want use to see how grateful we should be to have the chance to do things better in 2013.  2012 is behind us and there were some great moments and some great disappointments. We can not live in the past but we can look back to see what we can do in the future.  I am asking you over the next few weeks to stop and write down what went wrong in 2012 and what you will fondly remember about 2012.  I don’t want you to just think about it for a second I want you to really concentrate on what happened in YOUR life in 2012,  write it down and share it with me so I can see what we need to do better in 2013.  I want ask you to share this, unless you want do, but I want to know what we can do better this year to minister at BBT.  I will explain more on Sunday.

Last week it was so good to see Joel and his ministry back in the house.  He allowed Kimmy to sing with them and she was so excited.  I bet she will tell you that is one of the best things she experienced in 2012.  I can’t wait to see Joel again later this month.

This week I want to stay with the story of Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus as they leave Bethlehem and flee to Egypt.  The scripture verses are found in Matthew the 2ND Chapter vs 13-21.  We are going to talk about what this story means to us today.  I want us to see how the promises of God are true, not just some of time but all the time.  You may not think God is paying attention to you sometimes but know this, God answers on HIS time.  We are going to talk about that this week and see if we can see how important it is to wait on the Lord.  That does not mean we sent back and do nothing but it means God words are as true today as they ever were.

Larry and Linda are out of town this week and won’t be with us but lets pray there trip goes well and they get home safely Sunday evening.  Be sure and pray for those mentioned in the prayer request last week and lets lift each other up in prayer each and every day.  Lets start off the new year right with being in Church and inviting someone to come with you.  We are excited about seeing you and we hope you and your family had a great New Years day!!!!
