The Bartimaeus Blog 2022.28
Blessings, loved ones. My prayer for us this week is that we all draw closer to the heart of God. To know Him is to trust Him.
A lot of folks were out last week for various reasons. I hope you were able to catch us online. Though we do not go live for the entire service, I do usually have an MP3 recording that I am happy to share with anyone who would like to listen to everything, barring unusual circumstances. Speaking of live, you can now catch us directly from the web site. I just installed that capability this week, so this Sunday will be the first good test. The direct link is https://bbtemple.org/live. When we are not live, you can find the most recent videos there.
Don’t get scared off, but this Sunday we’ll be in the book of Job. Christians have been taught that the whole Bible points to Jesus. This is true. In some places He may be a little harder to spot than others, but He’s there. I even found Him in the book of Job. The book is a long read, but really needs to be taken in all at once to be understood. It is hard to pick out one verse that expresses the content succinctly, but I will settle on this one.
The LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD increased all that Job had twofold. (Job 42:10)
Remember Cathy in prayer over these next couple of weeks. So far she is doing okay. From what Priscilla said this morning her sister, Jo, may be in her final hours. Lift up Priscilla and her family. Keep praying for Kimi.
See you Sunday.
Love you all,
Larry
