Sunday August 7th 2011
Sunday began our classes on “sharing our faith”. I hope you were there and got to get in on the first lesson, if not we will help you get caught up. We all felt like we were on board with this new class. Larry brought an excellent message on what is important to us? That is a great question and we all need to examine what we are doing to see what we think is important.
This week we are going to kind of follow that same line and examine how do we handle stress? What do we do when we run into a tough situation? When do we cry out to God and what do we cry out to him? The passage this week is found in Matthew 14: 22-36. The first sermon I ever preached was on this scripture and how Peter walked on the water. This week we are going to look at the circumstances surrounding this faithful boat trip. I hope you will be in Church on Sunday and invite someone to come with you.
This week I hope you have done your homework from last week and shared the diagram we learned last week with 2 other Christians. It is important for us to share our faith not only by what we say but also by what we do. We are looking ahead to the upcoming weeks but don’t overlook your blessings today. Be an example of what it means to be a child of God. Be joyous and excited about what is happening in your life and lets live victorious lives in spite of the stress we feel. We love you and can’t wait to see you again on Sunday. May God bless you and keep you till we meet again.
