Sunday July 17th 2011
Sammy was a good friend and he was so looking forward to our upcoming Homecoming at the Church in a couple of months. He has started without us. He has the best homecoming any of us can have, he is home with his Heaven Father. He is home with Laurie and I know how much he missed her. Sammy meant a lot to us and we will miss him but we know he is where he wants to be.
I wish I had know how sick Sammy was but he never complained. I wish I could have told Sammy bye and told him how much I loved him, but the truth is we have no guarantees for tomorrow so we need to tell people now how we feel. Let’s not have regrets for what we did not do, lets live like we are going to make sure people know how we feel now.
We will miss you Sammy but we will have our memories and we will be faithful until we see you again.
I hope you will be in Church Sunday as we celebrate the Life of Sammy and we will celebrate afterwards with desert in the fellowship hall. If you would like to share an experience or a memory of Sammy on Sunday please do so. Pastor Larry and myself will bring a eulogy but we want to hear from you as well. I will see you on Sunday and if I have not told you, I do love each and every one of you!
