Rejoice with us and pray with us.

We are so thankful for a good Homecoming service this year.  Cathy says that Ruth has not had any further incidents since starting new medication.  Iris is out of the hospital and free of pneumonia.  Cathy’s nephew Patric had a successful surgery on his foot.  Don and Brenda celebrated their 42nd anniversary.  Debra’s mom had a birthday.  Linda is seeing some improvement.  We are blessed to have a new student from the Agape program at DTS working with us for the next few weeks.

Anita will have surgery this week to adjust her dialysis port.  Pray for Priscilla as she has her knee surgery on Tuesday and is out today because she can’t take pain medicine.  Keep praying for Kimi.  Dede has been having some back pain.  Kee praying for Tim.  He has an appointment this week as well.  Don will see his doctor on Wednesday to make a determination on the next phase of his treatment.

Elaine is glad to be back. Ruth is thankful for Cathy. April is thankful for the church. The Terrell family had a good week. Cathy rejoices in being able to do her own home repair.

Elaine asks prayer for her daughter and for her health. Tim has not felt well this past week. Kimi is home with severe headaches and weakness. Gregg’s motherr-in-law has passed away. Pray for the family. Pray for Anita. We have not been able to reach her. April prays for peace in her family. Pray for her living situation. Lupe is home now but the doctors don’t want her to do anything until they meet with her. Keep her in prayer. Edith is home with health issues. Her knee surgery is coming up. Brenda has a cough. She asks prayer for Becky. Pray for the people affected by the storm. Pray for our leaders and our country.

Cathy thanks the lord that her nephew’s surgery went well. The Terrell children had a good first week of school. Little Cindy is getting her car fixed and it is not going to be too expensive. Ruth had a good week overall. Brenda and Don enjoyed the retreat at Dallas Christian Fellowship of the Blind. Cathy and Ruth enjoyed a musical performance last night. Priscilla is thankful for the Lord’s protection as the van had a badly damaged tire the last time it was used. It is fixed now. Cathy is thankful for work done on her home. Benny is doing much better. Brenda is thankful to have gotten some help at home.

Keep praying for David and Lisa as they meet there perspective adoptees. Keep praying for Linda. Keep praying for Don, Tim, and Anita. Anita is home not feeling well. Keep praying for Kimi. She has had head trauma. She is having headaches and weakness in addition to her existing problems. Priscilla sees a doctor tomorrow for joint pain. Dede is having pain in her shoulder and other places. Pray for Brenda’s mom as they move her into assisted living. Mary asks continued prayer for the children and their hectic schedule.

Prayer Requests and Praise from Sunday Service of August 18

Pray with us and rejoice with us.

We began with prayer requests today because the absence of Priscilla and Kimi required explanation.  Kimi had a seizure on Friday night and was rushed to the hospital.  Priscilla was told that she has a hole in her brain.  They sent her home but Priscilla took her back on Saturday afternoon with severe headache and weakness.  The last text from Priscilla this morning said that they were awaiting an appointment for an MRI.  They say there’s nothing to be done, but we know the One who created that brain.  We’re asking God for a miracle.  Remember Ramona (see previous post) who is on hospice with multiple cancers and pray for her family also.  Keep Anita in your prayers.  We have not been able to get her on the phone and she was not home to be picked up for church.  Pray for April and for peace in her family at home.  Cindy asks prayer for the family and for the kids as they go back to school.  Brenda asks prayer for a bus driver’s grandson J.J. who has needed multiple surgeries.  Another driver, Scott, has heart problems.  A third driver, Sheila, is recovering from cancer and has lost her job.  Pray for Cathy’s stepdaughter and her husband, Lisa and David, as they travel to Bulgaria to adopt two girls.  Keep praying for Dede.  She asks prayer for her eyes.

I was delighted to learn from Larry that another church runs a lift equipped van and is picking him up.  April enjoyed a picnic with old friends.

Prayer Request from Cathy, Romona Wilson

Please pray for Romona Wilson. She went to Blessed Hope Church, which used to meet in our building, for years. She has cancer & it has spread to her brain, liver, lungs, & now there is a tumor in her throat. They have put her on Hospice & she is praying they can keep her comfortable until GOD takes her home.

Benny is doing much better. April enjoyed her weekend. She got help getting things she needed. Debra enjoyed her birthday yesterday. Cindy and Tim enjoyed getting haircuts. Kimi praises the Lord for good things happening for Edward. Ruth praises the Lord to b here. Brenda rejoices in a raise. Dede is thankful to be feeling better.

Tim has a doctor appointment tomorrow morning for his heart. Keep praying for Lupe. She is till in rehab and really wants to come home. Priscilla askes prayer for the family whose children she keeps. Kimi is having weakness and a lot of trouble with her legs. Cathy asks prayer for a friend Tim with cancer. She asks prayer for their cousin Lois also being treted for cancer. Brenda says Kay is asking for prayer. Keep praying for Don as he is having trouble with energy. He needs a new part for his car. Edward is having car trouble. Pray for Dede and Anita.

Cindy is thankful that the trash was finally picked up on her street. April’s sister had a successful hernia surgery. April is sleeping better. Ruth is thankful to be back. Edith is thankful for an unexpected blessing. Mary is thankful to be able to get all the school supplies they need. Kimi’s stomach is a little better and she has been able to do some work. Benny is doing better. It was determined that he did not have an infection. Cathy is thankful to have everyone back home. Anita got her new equipment to help with her sleep.

Keep praying for the friends and family of Chuck Small. There wil be no memorial next week. Keep praying for Kimi and Priscilla. Keep praying for Tim and the rest of the family. Cathy asks prayer for her step daughter who is trying to adopt children from Bulgaria. Keep praying for Don as his kidney function is going down. He has several appointments this week. Pray for Anita as she prepares for dialysis. Keep praying for April’s family. Pray for all of those affected by the shootings. Pray for our nation that we would have revival. That is the only thing that is going to save us.

Priscilla is thankful to have made it through a hard week.  Cindy enjoyed time with family.  Anita got a good report from her eye exam.  Linda is starting to improve.  April enjoyed having the other church that she attends coming to the Christian Fellowship of the Blind last night and providing dinner.  Brenda is thankful that she got help when she had a flat last week.  She invited the man to church.  She will also get a raise.  Debra is thankful that she will be able to get her dog proper care.  Dede is thankful to be here and for God’s care.

Cathy was not here today as she had to take Benny to the ER with his leg.  He has an infection and is expected to be in hospital through Tuesday.  Edith is out today because of her knee.  Priscilla is having trouble with her knee.  She was not able to drive the bus today.  Keep praying for Kimi.  She is having trouble with the RA and with her stomach.  Pray for Priscilla’s friend Christie who has just learned she has lung cancer.  She is not a smoker.  Keep praying for Jesse’s recovery.  Keep praying for Tim.  He’s having a little more trouble this week.  Keep praying for Anita, Don, and Linda.  April asks continued prayer for the Clark family and for her own family.  Pray for her friends who are losing their church.  She asks prayer for a friend whose name I could not catch who is suffering from digestive issues and chemical burns.  April also asks prayer for her own circumstances as she looks for ways to change them.  Keep praying for Dede’s health and circumstances.  Pray for Francesco, an elderly blind gentleman who has a number of needs that we don’t yet fully understand.  Pray for all of us whom he has contacted that we are able to help find what he needs and to help him in wise ways.  Pray for our church that we will be able to continue in the work that God has called us to.

Mary had a good week with the kids. Tim is doing better and getting out more. Kimi enjoyed time with family. Anita’s grandson got into college and got a car. April is thankful for a good week. Debra is thankful for a restored relationship. Cathy is enjoying family in town. Our prayer’s were answered. April’s father found a job. Brenda and Barbara enjoyed their time together.

Keep praying for Lupe. She is still in the rehab center and has one arm in a cast. Benny fell last week and has a painful knot on his leg. Kimi is having a lot of pain and stomach issues. Edith may need a knee replacement. She sees the doctor on Wednesday. April asks prayer for a former teacher who has had a stroke and will be taken off of life support today. Pray for the Clark family. Keep praying for Aprils family. Keep praying for Chuck Small’s family. Keep praying for Tim, Don, Anita, and Linda. Mary asks prayer for the family and for her employment possibilities. Priscilla asks prayre for a friend Jesse who has back problems. Cindy asks prayer for a friend who lost a nephew. Pray for the Bradly family. Pray for revival in our country. April asks for prayer.
