This Sunday’s program was online only.  We hoped to be able to collect prayer requests as we went along, but I think some people may have had trouble finding their way in.  We will try to improve upon the process for next week.  We did received one request from a visitor which you will see below.

Despite our circumstances, I am thankful that we are able to do as much as we can to stay connected.  This would not have been possible a few years ago.

Pray for Kimi.  Priscilla was trying to get her to the doctor today and encountering difficulty because of restrictions around the corona virus.  Pray for all of those among us facing health challenges: Don, Linda, Ruth, Anita, Tim, and Edith.  We did hear from Brenda that Shelly has an MRSA infection.  Keep praying for the Potts household.  Our write-in prayer request was from Jean Moore, who asks prayer for a sister Selina Clarke who needs a kidney.

Pray for our nation and our world as we face this crisis.  There is a lot we don’t know, but what we do know is that many lives will be adversely affected, if not by the disease, then by the reaction to it.  Pray for wisdom among our leaders.  Pray for spiritual revival in our land.  We needed that long before this happened.  Maybe these hard times will help to redirect us.

We have all been blessed.  Let us go and be a blessing this week.

Priscilla is glad to be back and we are delighted to have her back! She is on her way to recovery. Edith rejoices in being able to find what she needed at the store. Cindy enjoyed time with her sister. Anita enjoyed talking to her cousin last week. Brenda is glad to be here and see everyone. Kimi is also thankful to be here. Sandra is thankful to be able to raise money to help a client. Cathy is thankful for having had a good week and that Ruth has come to know when she is about to have trouble. The memorial service yesterday went well.

Tim’s brother had to have open heart surgery last week. Pray for quick recovery. Tim is recovering well. Keep praying for cathy’s family. Pray for the Meshell family as they have recently experienced a death in the family. Cathy has lost a cousin from Georgia. Anita has to go back to the doctor about the port in her arm. Edith’s stomach trouble is back. Don has to have his port replaced. He has more appointments this week. Sandra is having trouble with TMJ. Pray for her overall health. Pris will see the doctor tomorrow for her shoulder and her knee is hurting her. Keep praying for Priscilla’s sister Jo who has begun her chemo treatment. Pray for calm and protection as the country deals with the threat of coronavirus.

Rejoice with us and pray with us.

April is thankful that the church is here.  We’re thankful to have a visitor.  The Terrells had a good week.  Tim is recovering well.  Ruth and Cathy had a good week.

Cathy asks prayer for the family of a friend whose sister is now on hospice.  The name is Hastings.  Pray for the people around the world fighting the corona virus, for wisdom for our leaders in limiting its impact here, and for reason to prevail among the population.  April asks prayer for anxiety.  Tim’s niece Sarah has lost her mother-in-law.  Pray for that family.  Pray for Mary and her children.  Edith was out sick today.  Keep praying for Priscilla and Kimi.  Keep praying for Linda, Don, and Tim.  Pray for the people in Tennessee where the tornadoes hit.

Cathy says the memorial for Iris went well.  Keep the family in prayer.  Ruth had a good week.  Edith is feeling better about her relationships at work.  Tim is healing well after surgery.

Keep Tim in your prayers.  Pray for Priscilla and Kimi as they have come down with something.  Pray for the Rowe family as they have experienced another death.  Keep the Potts household in prayer.  Pray for the family of Sheila Anderson, a coworker of Brenda’s who passed away from brain tumors.  Pray for Shelly as she may be able to come home.  Pray for Don’s health.

Much of what we are thankful for today comes with a need for more prayer attached.  Pray for our church.

Tim was cleared for his surgery and if I understood correctly will be having it today.  The service for Cathy’s grandson went well.  Keep praying for the family.  Kelly appears to have found an apartment, but there have been other developments since then regarding the situation at the Potts’ home.  All I will say right now is that they all need our prayers and support.  Debra rejoices in being able to be here.  Ruth has had only one fainting incident in the past 2.5 weeks.

Priscilla is getting better but still has several weeks of therapy remaining.  Her doctor has to clear her to drive.  Keep praying for Dede.  Pray for our country and our state as we continue the process of choosing our leadership.  Keep praying for Don as he approaches the necessity of beginning dialysis.  Debra prays for safe travel for her stepfather as he returns home.  Brenda asks prayer for Kelly’s friend Kelly.  We want him to come to Jesus.

Tim had a good week.  Dede and Debra were thankful to be here.  Don may get to learn a new skill.  I’m thankful that work has slowed down just a little even if briefly.

Tim will find out this week if he is cleared for Surgery.  Keep praying for Priscilla.  Keep praying over the Potts household.  Pray for Kelly and for Shelly.  Pray for Cathy and Benny as his grandson was found deceased on Saturday morning.  Pray for the peace of the family and for the truth to be known.

Rejoice with us and pray with us.

I’m glad to be back after having to miss last week because of work.  Cathy is thankful that no one was hurt when Benny was in a traffic accident last Sunday.  Tim and Cindy enjoyed time with family yesterday.  Cathy’s step daughter and her husband are back home with their two adopted children from Bulgaria.  Don is thankful to have been able to work last week.

Keep praying for Priscilla and for Kimi.  Pray for Iris D who has been sent to the hospital this morning severely underweight.  She has not been eating.  Pray for Kelly and for the Potts household.  Dede is having more trouble with her eyes.  Tim has an appointment this week to determine whether he can have hernia surgery.

Rejoice with us and pray with us.

First of all, a big thanks to Cindy for taking the requests and capturing them for me.  Cathy is thankful that they had a good week.  Tim had a good birthday week and is regaining strength such that he went out and mowed the yard.  Cathy says that Jim S. is now recovering well from his surgery.

Kelly asks prayer for Shelly and for herself.  Brenda’s mom fell yesterday and broke her wrist.  Debra asks prayer for her mom who has not been feeling well.  Keep praying for Pris.  Pray also for Kimi who now has shingles.  Keep praying for Anita.  She’s been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was in the hospital last week.

“in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Th. 5:18)

I apologize for taking so long to put these up.  It was a rough weekend followed by a busy workweek.  But the good thing is I am recovering nicely.  Thank the Lord.

So, as is our custom, we begin with thanksgiving.  Edith was thankful for a good night’s rest and no pain.  April had a good day with her church and the Dallas Christian Fellowship of the Blind that met here on Saturday night.  Cindy is thankful that her water heater was repaired with the help of family.  Cathy and Ruth had a good week.

Keep Priscilla in prayer as recovery from her surgery is painful.  Edith asks prayer over a difficult situation at work.  April asks prayer for herself and her family situation.  Brenda asks for prayer as she works on getting healthier.  Keep the household in prayer.  Remember the family of Ramona Wilson who attended the church that used to meet here in the morning.  She has passed away.  Pray for my family as my grandmother went to be with Jesus on Saturday.  Keep Jim S. in your prayers as his recovery from heart valve surgery has been difficult.

Prayer and Praise from Sunday Service of January 19

Join with us in prayer and in Praising God for what He has done.

Pray for Priscilla.  She was not at church because of pain from a torn shoulder and since then I have learned that she fell and messed up her ankle.  She is in a boot and will have surgery for the shoulder on Tuesday morning.  Cathy had a list.  Pray for her cousin Joe from Louisiana who is in the hospital for medical testing that includes a spinal tap.  The other Joe we prayed for last week has had complications after his surgery.  Pray for Ruth’s cousin Carlton who was thought to have had a heart attack last week and will be undergoing testing.  Pray for Cathy’s high school friend Teresa with medical problems.  Cindy asks prayer for her grandson Damon as he enters military service.  They hope to be well enough to visit him in a few weeks.  April prays for people suffering from flu.  She also asks prayer for the families of those involved in recent shootings.  Cathy specifically mentioned those from the one in our area.  Dede’s shoulders are hurting her and she asks prayer for her eyes.  Keep Shelly in your prayers.  Keep praying over the needs at the Potts’ household.  Pray for Linda’s brother Jim.  He is looking for a job in line with his career choice and we are also praying for much greater things.

April is thankful for the church and for inner healing.  Ruth had a much better week.  We’re thankful to be here to worship the Lord.
