Priscilla says that Jimmy is out of the hospital.  She saw him today.  We’re hoping he cam come back soon.  Frances’ roof is finished.  She still needs some other things done.  Kim was able to see her doctor and is looking forward to getting some help.

Pray for Noel, the contractor who has been helping Frances.  He has learned that his brother has been hospitalized.  Remember Jana and Breedlove in your prayers and let them know how much we miss them.  Pray for Mary who couldn’t be with us again today.  Pray for Kim’s issues with her foot and other healt problems.  Pray for the people in the Northeast as the storm approaches this evening.  Pray that our country makes the right decisions with regard to our government.  Pray for our church and for the new ministry that will be in our building shortly.  Priscilla was blessed by a conversation she had with her father this week.  Pray for her and the famly as he gets ready to go Home.  Pray for the healing of Priscilla’s sister with serious kidney stones.  Pray for Don’s health.  Pray for continued easing of the tension between Brenda and her family.

Be an answer to prayer this week.

Praise and Prayer Requests for Sunday Service of October 14

Bartimaeus Baptist Temple Posted on October 14, 2012 by Bart The BotSeptember 20, 2017
Ruth got an excellent report from the doctor about her heart.  Don is thankful that he had some time off and was able to help Frances with her house.  Frances is getting a lot of work done for a good price.  Frances won’t have to pay anything.  She’s getting better furniture.  Pam got new glasses and got to spend time with Sandy last weekend.  She’s feeling better too.  Linda is feeling much better today.  Thank you all for praying.

Ruth asks us to pray for Lupe’s relatives the Flores family.  Pam asks that we pray for Sandy’s sister who has a heart condition.  Pray for April’s family as her aunt is near passing and under hospice care.  Priscilla says that Mary was not looking good today and has learned that she has pneumonia.  The staf is not doing anything for her.  Pray for Kelly to get into the kind of living situation she needs.  Pray for Priscilla’s parents.  She says that Michelle has now been declared free of cancer.

Let’s pray for each other this week and not forget to thank God for the prayers He has answered.

Special prayer request from afar

Bartimaeus Baptist Temple Posted on October 13, 2012 by Bart The BotSeptember 20, 2017
Thanks be to God who gave us the creative power to build something like the Internet, through which even our little church can have a world-wide impact.  I am sharing a prayer request all the way Romania that was left on our comment page.  Sadly, because of the amount of abuse that comes from international domains, most of them are blocked from actually becoming members on our site, but they can read the posts and hear the podcasts.

May God’s peace and blessings be with you! I learned about your ministry through the way of the Internet. I could see your heart and passion for the lost people of this world. May God richly reward your heart and actions in reaching people to Jesus’ cross!   My name is Melany. I live in Romania. I wrote you because I have a prayer request. If God leads you to do that, I should like you to pray for a Romanian man to receive Christ as his personal Savior. His name is Romul. He is one of my neighbors. Because of the circumstances I don’t have the opportunity to talk too often to him in order to share with him the love of Christ and probably, to invite him to church. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would touch him and bring him to a place of personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you feel, pray also for me to have opportunities to share with him the gospel. I desire to see him saved (and I am confident that this is God’s desire, too). He attended a Christian church for a while, but now he stopped and he is sinking in sin deeper and deeper. Led by some non-Christian friends, he chose the way of the world with its desires and pleasures. Please pray for him (as God leads). Thank you so much for ministering for the enlargement of God’s kingdom!!! May God bless and reward you!all for my King Jesus:   Melany

Special Prayer Request for Marry Ellen and Ruth

Bartimaeus Baptist Temple Posted on September 13, 2012 by Bart The BotSeptember 24, 2017
We got a call from Pam last night relaying a request to pray for Mary Ellen, Ruth’s sister, who has become sick and has been hospitalized.  It appears to be a virus and Ruth is sick with it too, though not to the point of being in the hospital.

Praise and Prayer Requests from Sunday service of September 9 – Homecoming

Bartimaeus Baptist Temple Posted on September 9, 2012 by Bart The BotSeptember 24, 2017
We’re so blessed to be here in celebration of fifty-four years of God’s work in our church.  Teresa rejoices that someone provided for her financial needs.  Shelly rejoices that things are turning around for her.  She is glad to be back.  Pam thanks God for His blessings and everyone who is able to be here today.  April is rejoicing that we made it to another homecomming.  Priscilla says the baby we’ve been praying for is getting better and will be out of ICU.

Shelly asked that we pray for Kelly and that she would be able to come back to church.  Ruth asks that we pray for her sister’s sun Jim who may have to have a third surgery.  Pastor David asks that we pray for his sister Donna facing possible cancer.  Frances is thankful for all that Don and Brenda have done for her as are we all.  Joleen from North Dallas Baptist asks prayer for a missionary who was recently stabbed in Jordan.  Someone please respond with the one I missed.  April prays for the safety of paratransit passengers after recent events.  It’s good to see Elke again.  Keep praying for her recovery.  Pray for Jay Gibson’s son Jacob who needs healing.  Chris is glad to be able to be here and asks prayer for the health of his mother.Pam reminds us to keep praying for Chris’s foot.

I hope we will all take what God has blessed us with and share with others this week.  We are blessed to be a blessing.
